STAFFMeredith Kemp-Pappan – Pastor
A native Texan, Rev. Meredith was born in El Paso and grew up in Amarillo. She attended West Texas A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in Vocal Performance in 2004. She earned her Master of Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2008 and a Master of Arts in Spirituality degree from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY in 2011.
From 2008 to 2011, she also worked on the staff of the General Assembly in Louisville. In May of 2011, she was a featured speaker at the Montreat Signature Conference. Later that year, Meredith was called to be the head pastor at the Central Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City and worked there for six years before coming to Trinity in August of 2017.
She and her husband Ryan—a Los Angeles native, ordained minister, and licensed clinical social worker—have two children: a son Henry and a daughter Lillian.
Karen Meenen – Director of Christian Education
Karen has been a member of Trinity for over 20 years, and has worked as the Director of Christian Education since 2006. Her role is to communicate excitement of learning about God with all of our children, youth and adults in weekly Sunday School and on special occasions like Rally Day, Vacation Bible School, Advent Program and Holiday Sundays. She graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business (double major marketing and business administration) and received her MBA from Emporia State University. Karen likes to spend time outdoors, enjoys any sport and loves to decorate cakes. She is married to Doug and has three children – Matt, Michael and Sarah.
Becky Crowl – Secretary
Becky has resided in the Topeka area all her life, attended USD 501 schools and graduated from Washburn University with a degree in Music Education. After 30 years of employment with the State of Kansas, Becky retired to pursue life in the “real”world. Since 2007, that “world” has included working as a church secretary for two other local churches before arriving at Trinity in June 2009. Becky is a member of First Baptist Church in Topeka, singing in their choir and serving on the Board of Ministries. She also sings with Topeka Festival Singers, a community “auditioned” choir. Becky has one son who is a Graphic Illustrator/Art teacher in California and a daughter who is an Elementary Special Education teacher in Topeka.
