Music Staff

Andy Huff - Heritage Choir Director Andy has a Bachelor of Music in Composition and Master of Music in Choral Conducting. He currently directs the 7-12 grade choral program at Seaman USD 345. His wife, Kelly, is pursuing doctoral studies in early music and is an adjunct professor at Washburn University.

Jaron Marcus - Keyboardist Born in Crete, Greece, Jaron has been the keyboardist at Trinity Presbyterian Church since the summer of 2010. Jaron is seeking his Piano Performance degree at Washburn University under instruction of Mr. James Rivers. He is also a piano instructor at the Midwest Musical Arts Association, and is the accompanist for the Santa Fe Middle School and High School Choirs. Jaron also sings in the Washburn Choir, as well as Trinity’s choir. He loves to both teach and play the piano, and to praise and worship the Lord through music.

Kelly Huff - Handbell Choir Director Dr. Kelly Huff joined the Trinity staff as handbell choir director in August 2017. She has been ringing since the third grade, and directed her first church bell choir as a Bachelor of Music – Sacred Music student at Evangel University. She also holds a Master of Music Degree in Music Theory from Missouri State University and a PhD in Musicology from the University of Kansas. Dr. Huff is a Lecturer in Music History and Theory at Washburn University.

 

Sheryl Daniels - Organist Playing the church’s eight-rank Moller pipe organ is Sheryl Daniels. Sheryl has been the organist for the Sunday morning worship service since 2003. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in organ performance from the University of Iowa, a diploma in Christian education-music from the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, and a master’s degree in special education from Kansas State University. In addition to her organist position, Sheryl is a retired special education teacher and remains actively employed by Topeka Public Schools. She has two married daughters and one grandson. Her spare time interests include reading, sewing, and playing the piano.
